The Gertrude C. Ford Center's first-ever Friendship Ball for donors and friends on May 18 featured a surprise performance from Grammy-winning musician Marty Stuart -- and Chancellor Emeritus Robert C. Khayat, a guitar player himself.
Stuart, a longtime friend of the University of Mississippi and Dr. Khayat, was the highlight of an evening that also included cocktails, dinner, dancing and the unveiling of the Ford Center's new bronze donor sculpture in the lobby. A portion of the bronze tree is dedicated to Khayat thanks to all your generous gifts.
If you have not yet given to the effort to honor Dr. Khayat, now is the time. Click Give Now to contribute to the cause.
