In the wake of COVID-19, many of our students were met with great financial stress. Your gift to the Rebel Relief Disaster Fund allows us to assist in meeting those unforeseeable burdens and promotes the health and safety of our campus.
Our students have shown incredible resiliency, grit and determination as they adapt to our “new normal” and commit themselves to their academic pursuits. We applaud their hard work and ask that you support them by contributing to this relief fund.
Thus far, our Student Affairs team has responded to requests and provided the needed funds within an average of 24 to 48 hours, but resources are running low. When we hear of students in need, the policy is to “drop and do!” Gifts of all sizes combine to provide the most help possible to our students.
The average request for relief is around $500. Students have needed assistance with housing insecurity, medical costs and the cost of traveling home. Gifts of all sizes add up to make a difference in the lives of your fellow Rebels.
Every one of us is called at some point to serve our Ole Miss family. During this time of uncertainty, we ask that you consider stepping up to be the difference maker for students in need. The impact of your gift today could mean a lifetime’s difference for your fellow Rebel.
