Did you know our senior music majors perform 50 minutes of solo music as part of their degree requirements? This equipment will help ensure their recital recordings are high quality, preserving the memory of this milestone for years to come.

The Music Department's home is part of the former University High School, which operated from 1930 to 1963. Our building may be a 90-year-old vintage gem, but with your donation, our recording equipment will be brand new!

In a typical year, the Music Department hosts an average of 126 performances featuring our talented students and faculty. With your help, that commitment to our craft and community will not change!

Your $250 donation will cover the cost of one one desktop microphone. In the age of Zoom and virtual teaching, these microphones will be used for recording podcasting dialogue, lectures, and so much more for the benefit of both our listeners and our students!

A $1,000 gift will purchase our live-streaming software and video encoder, so our audience can enjoy the University of Mississippi Music Department performances live, at home, anywhere in the world!
