Dear Ole Miss Seniors and Family,
Last week the Ole Miss senior class launched an online campaign to raise funds for our Class of 2017 legacy gift: a commemorative “Hotty Toddy” plaque. This historic plaque will be installed near the entrance of the newly renovated North Endzone of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. This is our chance to leave a permanent campus memorial to the Class of 2017 while honoring the cherished cheer we’ve all shouted together countless times. Our plaque will forever be a testament to everything that Hotty Toddy means to Ole Miss and all of us.
As we embark on our campaign to raise at least $10,000, we can’t wait to see our Rebels in Orlando on Monday evening! Seniors, this is our opportunity to fight like the Rebels and succeed in becoming the first class in Ole Miss history to have 1,000 classmates donate to the Senior Fund.
We have raised 23% of our dollar goal, and 137 seniors have contributed in our first week. Much of this success came from our first fundraising event – the Syllabus Week Jam. The event was a huge success! We are grateful to everyone who came out last Wednesday night, and we extend special thanks to local Oxford band Ebenezer Goodman for the entertainment and to Rafter’s Music and Food for the venue. Please check out Ebenezer Goodman on Facebook and Instagram and show your support.
Additionally, more than 30,000 people have viewed the call-to-action in our video, so we know we're just getting started! It’s up to us to make sure our legacy is seen by everyone who has the privilege of yelling, “Hotty Toddy!”
Parents, if you are contributing on your senior student’s behalf, please provide their name on the donor form. That will enable us to count him or her toward the Senior Class participation goal! Thank you! Please check out our Ignite Ole Miss page to see a rendering of the plaque and to show your support!
