The University of Mississippi earned “R-1 Doctoral Universities — Highest Research Activity” Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing Ole Miss among the top 2.5% of universities nationwide. We joined prestigious schools like Harvard, MIT and Johns Hopkins.
Chancellor Vitter turns 61 on Nov. 13, 2016 -- just two days after his inauguration. We're thrilled that he celebrates this birthday with his Ole Miss family. Happy Birthday, Dr. Vitter!
