Since 1908, the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy’s history of excellence has been shaped by outstanding students, faculty, staff, researchers and supporters. The brick and mortar of Faser Hall and Thad Cochran Research Center may be home to the classrooms and laboratories, but it’s the committed people of the school who form the strong foundation.
The Ole Miss Pharmacy “phamily” is the atmosphere of support and encouragement that everyone creates within the school and throughout the alumni network. When a student arrives at Ole Miss Pharmacy, they become part of that phamily.
It’s our goal that we come together as a phamily and support our incoming first-year students by funding their white coats.
Although a lot has changed in pharmacy education, the importance and excitement of receiving the white coat has not. As all pharmacists know, wearing the white coat – a symbol of professionalism and commitment to all future patients – is a special milestone.
This event is an essential part of their professional journey to becoming extraordinary pharmacists, health care providers and researchers.
Today, help us recognize a student by making a gift in support of these future pharmacists. Gifts of all sizes make a profound and immediate impact. This support shows that the generosity of our phamily keeps pharmacy education and the profession moving forward.
Thank you for your commitment to the Ole Miss Pharmacy phamily!

Once again, U.S. News and World Report has ranked the UM School of Pharmacy as one of the Top 25 pharmacy schools in the nation. Honor the school's commitment to excellence with a $25 gift!
Your $40 gift will supply one first-year student with their white coat, a symbol of professionalism and commitment. It's not expensive, but its value is immeasurable.
When the School of Pharmacy was founded in 1908, applicants had to be at least 16 years old, high school graduates and prove they had good character. A lot has changed since then. For 113 years, the School of Pharmacy has sought to innovate to prepare students to serve patients first.
Every first-year student takes Pharmacy 400: Becoming a Pharmacist, which launches them on their professional journey. Consider a $400 gift in honor of YOUR journey!
One gift of $4,000 will provide white coats for every member of the class of 2025. Make a lasting impact.
