First Engineering School

In 1900, the University of Mississippi established the state's first School of Engineering, with civil and electrical engineering programs. Today, hundreds of students pursue degrees in civil, electrical, biomedical, chemical, computer, geological, and mechanical engineering, as well as computer science and geology.

Class of 1963

Capt. Phillips H. Izard graduated from the School of Engineering with a degree in geological engineering in 1963. A member of the Army ROTC program, he was commissioned into the Army Corps of Engineers. Give $63 in honor of this member of the class of 1963.

Class of 1966

Lt. Henry Dennis Babers graduated from the School of Engineering with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1966. He was a member of the Ole Miss Navy ROTC program and was commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps. Give $66 in honor of this member of the class of 1966.
