In 1972, Dr. Jan Hawks was hired as the University’s last Dean of Women. She would revolutionize the position by encouraging women students to decide for themselves what they wanted to be and mentored them to help them achieve their goals. Your gift of $72 will help us encourage a new generation of women students to dream big.
In 1998, Dr. Gloria Kellum became the first woman to serve in a senior leadership position. You can honor her and help us prepare the next class of women leaders at UM.
We estimate the average cost of renting a space for each dinner is $250. You can ensure we have the space for the dinners.
The University of Mississippi became one of the first public universities in the south to admit women in 1882. You can celebrate that legacy and fully fund one dinner by donating $1,882.
