Strengthening the Lawyers of Tomorrow!

At the University of Mississippi School of Law, Delta Theta Phi is the largest law fraternity. Our 75 members come together to foster lifelong friendships and professional affiliations through legal education, international networking and mutual respect.

DTP members Faith Adams, Blake Mullikin and Caleb Kitchens were this year's Edith Turley Scholarship winners.

We achieve this mission by engaging with our community in activities and giving our members the opportunity to fellowship with other DTP members nationwide.

In a typical year, our DTP members and faculty sponsors have hosted an average of six local events, bringing joy and richness to the University of Mississippi, our Oxford community and any visiting alumni and friends.

In 2020 and 2021, a global pandemic prohibited us from participating in in-person activities. As a new group of students begins the UM School of Law journey with us this fall, we’d like to return to hosting in-person events for local children and senior citizens and send our members to the Delta Theta Phi national convention in 2023.

Through these activities, we can strengthen the future lawyers of the University of Mississippi. You can help!

Your gifts today can help us with our planned outreach for the 2022-23 school year. We’ll continue to contribute to the Oxford Food Pantry and renew our commitment to the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. In addition, we are launching a new outreach with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Ashley Pruitt was DTP's student dean for 2021-2022.

Besides community outreach, another key part of our mission to develop our future lawyers is encouraging networking. To that end, we’d like to send as many members as possible to the Delta Theta Phi national convention in 2023.

The DTP national convention has been an important part of our national fraternity for more than 100 years. The national convention provides a forum for students, lawyers and other members to network, exchange ideas and knowledge, and create lifelong professional affiliations and personal friendships.

We are eager to resume participating in this tradition and give our UM Delta Theta Phi members the best possible start in their profession.

The assistance you offer will allow us to help our community, strengthen our bonds and network with our peers from the world’s best law schools year after year.

Help Delta Theta Phi at the University of Mississippi grow to its full potential!

Give today to strengthen the lawyers of tomorrow!
