Kincannon Hall is coming down this summer! Named for Andrew Armstrong Kincannon, the University of Mississippi’s seventh chancellor, Kincannon Hall opened in 1963 and offered 540 bed spaces. At the time, it was the largest residence hall on campus, with 105,948 square feet of total space.
Demolition of Kincannon, which has been vacant since 2015, will provide space for new, modern housing options for our increasing student enrollment. Three residence halls will be built on the site and will provide 990 beds.
Anyone with fond memories of Kincannon can own an original brick or a room number by supporting student services on campus. With a $63 contribution, you will receive an original brick. With a $25 contribution, you can receive a room number from its door (on a first-come, first-served basis).
Hurry! This opportunity will only last until Sept. 1, 2023.
Change is inevitable, but your Ole Miss memories and bonds forged in Kincannon will last forever! Purchase a brick or room number today.
For a $25 gift, you can claim your old room number right off your old door. (Availability is first come, first served. The giving form will include a space to type your room number.)
For a gift of $63, you can own a brick from Kincannon Residence Hall!
