Thank you for helping to make this year’s Guyton Fall Festival possible! This special event is solely dependent on generous donations from supporters like you. We hope to see you at Guyton Hall on Friday, October 13th from 5-7 p.m.! – Teachers of Tomorrow
Several fall traditions help shape the unique culture on the University of Mississippi’s campus, but one stands out: the Guyton Fall Festival hosted by Teachers of Tomorrow, a student organization at the School of Education.
This FREE event is open to the public and offers several family fun activities, including face painting, witch hat toss, pumpkin putt-putt, arts and crafts with the University Museum, science experiments provided by the Center for Math and Science Education, and more.
The Guyton Fall Festival is possible thanks to generous donations from local businesses and individuals like you! The event is 100% student-volunteer-driven. The Teachers of Tomorrow depend on donor support to provide the materials needed for each activity station and to buy candy and other goodies to share with participants.
Guyton Fall Festival serves 200-500 area families each year. Please help us grow this fall tradition by making a gift of any size to supply Teachers of Tomorrow with the arts, crafts and materials they need to make this event a smashing success in 2023.
This year, the Teachers of Tomorrow are working with volunteers from the University Museum to lead an oil painting activity, student volunteers from the Big Event will plant seeds with children, RebelTHON volunteers will offer face painting, students from the Center for Mathematics and Science Education will have an activity about solar eclipses and early childhood education students will host a multi-sensory room. Meanwhile, TOT volunteers will staff booths offering a book walk, candy corn bowling, witch's broom limbo, spider ring tosses and many more.
Join us! Guyton Fall Festival is FREE and open to the public: Friday, October 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Guyton Hall (49 Guyton Drive, University, MS 39677).
The Guyton Fall Festival is set for Friday, Oct. 13 this year. Hundreds of local families enjoy this FREE yearly event. Make a gift to help welcome them to the School of Education!
2023 marks over a decade of celebrating fall at the School of Education, first as the Guyton Haunted House and now the Guyton Fall Festival. Give $23 to help SOE continue to provide this fun, free event!
Across the Oxford campus and the University of Mississippi's regional campuses, 50 future teachers comprise the Teachers of Tomorrow. This student organization plans, staffs and raises the funds needed to hold the Guyton Fall Festival every year. In addition to spreading joy through this free event, the Teachers of Tomorrow also collect hundreds of new or gently used books from participants to donate to the Lafayette Literacy Council. Please give $50 – a dollar for every student – in honor of their hard work.
During this free event, volunteers give away around 100 bags of candy to hundreds of area children. Please give $100 to help cover the cost of all that candy and make a child smile!
Every year, the Guyton Fall Festival attracts 200-500 families to this fun, free event. We're glad to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for our community's children. With your $200 gift, you could help us spread the SOE happiness!
