At our annual White Coat Ceremony in August, the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy will welcome students to the Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2029.
Each year, the White Coat Ceremony marks a transformative moment for our pharmacy students — their official entrance into the Doctor of Pharmacy program. This year, thanks to a generous donation from Richard Faris, the ceremony as well as all white coats and stethoscopes are fully funded. But you can still be a meaningful part of this milestone!
Through our White Coat Note Campaign, you’re invited to write a note of encouragement that will be tucked into the pocket of a white coat. Your words — whether inspiring, reflective or simply kind — will offer personal support at a moment that marks the beginning of their journey in health care.
Your support helps fund student opportunities such as travel to national pharmacy conferences like APhA, SNPhA and ASHP. With your gifts, you help the School of Pharmacy host leadership workshops and career panels and support student-led community events like Operation Immunization and blood glucose monitoring stations. These funds also go to student-led networking and collegiality events like football tailgates, the Back-to-School BBQ, the Pharmacy “Phormal” and many more. 
All of these experiences are vital for building professional networks, presenting research, exploring career pathways in pharmacy and offering opportunities for our students to build community and enjoy the fun of being an Ole Miss student pharmacist!
