Support Your Ole Miss Army ROTC Cadets
Support Ole Miss ROTC Cadets Throughout the Year
Your award-winning Ole Miss Army ROTC Magnolia Battalion wants you to help support the program and cadet activities throughout the year.
If you've been to an Ole Miss football game any time in the last decade, you've seen our cadets on the sidelines, celebrating each Rebel touchdown with a cannon blast and so many pushups. But it's what you don't see that makes the difference.
The Ole Miss Army ROTC Magnolia Battalion has consistently been ranked one of the best programs in the country. In 2025, Magnolia Battalion produced four Distinguished Military Graduates who earned distinction as the Top 20% of Army ROTC cadets across the nation. More simply put, approximately 25% of the graduating Ole Miss cadets rank within the Top 20% of the nation.
For the last two years, Ole Miss was selected as the lead program to run the Combined Spring Field Training Exercise for the 6th Brigade Army ROTC, which includes schools across Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Puerto Rico. This annual event includes over 10 schools from across the SEC, more than 400 cadets and more than 100 cadre. Magnolia Battalion successfully orchestrated this event to ensure world-class training for cadets in preparation for Advanced Camp.

Ole Miss cadets are involved in almost every club, Greek organization, honors society and student organization on campus, including athletics. They achieve academic excellence through the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, the Croft Institute for International Studies, the Intelligence and Security Studies Program, Gamma Beta Phi, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, study abroad, Project Go, Global Ambassadors and more.
Here's a snapshot of our cadet achievements:
- Seven cadets earned distinction by successfully completing the Army's Airborne or Air Assault school — earning a highly coveted Army badge. Additionally, eight cadets successfully earned the Norwegian Foot March Award.
- One cadet is completing a year abroad in Morocco as an Arabic Flagship major. This cadet will return to Ole Miss and earn a commission in 2026.
- This past summer, four cadets participated in the Army's Cadet Troop Leadership Training (CTLT), where they shadowed an active duty Army lieutenant for a period of three weeks. These cadets traveled to locations including Italy, Korea and Alaska.
The Ole Miss Army ROTC program is designed to instill professional leadership competencies that translate to success in both the military and the civilian world. Since 2020, Magnolia Battalion has successfully met its annual commissioning mission — providing the Army with officers of the highest competence, commitment and most importantly — character.
Every Spring, Magnolia Battalion hosts an annual Dining Out formal event to recognize the achievements of high-performing cadets, provide scholarships, induct Hall of Fame recipients and hear from noteworthy guest speakers. Our generous donors may also receive an invitation to this event. Check out our giving opportunities on the right for your chance to participate and claim your prize package.
Help us continue the Magnolia Battalion's tradition of excellence. Make a gift today to our Army ROTC cadets!
