Learning Beyond the Classroom Builds Career-Ready Professionals

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) Program is committed to preparing students for successful, impactful careers in sports medicineOne of the most powerful ways to do that is through professional conference participation. This year, MSAT students have the opportunity to attend the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association (SEATA) Education Experience & Expo, February 5–7, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.

SEATA is the premier athletic training conference in the Southeast, bringing together educators, clinicians, researchers, and employers from across the region. For students, this experience is transformative. They attend cutting-edge educational sessions led by industry experts, learn about new techniques and technologies shaping sports medicine, and build professional networks that often lead directly to internships, residencies, and first jobs.

Just as important, students begin to see themselves as professionals. For many, this is their first exposure to the broader athletic training community, making this an experience that builds confidence, professional identity, and clarity about their future in the field.

However, the cost of attendance (approximately $1,000 per student) creates a significant barrier. Registration, lodging, transportation, and meals quickly add up, and many MSAT students are already balancing tuition, clinical hours, and living expenses. Without support, some students may have to forgo this opportunity entirely. We need your support to help remove that barrier.

Support raised through this effort will directly fund student travel and participation in SEATA, ensuring that financial constraints do not limit access to critical professional experiences. Every contribution helps students step beyond the classroom and into the profession they are training to serve.

Invest in students who are preparing to care for athletes, prevent injury, and advance the future of sports medicine. Give today and help MSAT students learn where the profession lives.
