Stand with the Students

The Rebel Relief Disaster Fund was established to support students when unexpected events impact our campus and the people in it. What started as a way to step in during difficult moments has become a way for the Ole Miss community to support each other when it matters most.

As our campus and community begin to move forward, it’s clear that recovery doesn’t happen all at once. While things may look like they’re improving, many students are still dealing with the lasting effects and trying to get back on their feet.

During the Winter Storm Fern, more than 2,000 students received support through this fund, and much of those resources have now been used. While applications are no longer being accepted at the time, the focus has shifted to replenishing the fund so it is ready to respond when students need it again.

Some are catching up on missed work, others are facing unexpected expenses, and many are still navigating the stress that comes after a difficult situation. For a lot of students, the hardest part is figuring out how to move forward when everything has been disrupted.

The Rebel Relief Disaster Fund is here for that stage, the part of recovery that doesn’t always get seen, but still matters just as much.

This fund provides direct support to students as they work to regain stability and get back to their normal routines. It’s about helping ease that transition and making sure students feel supported, even after the immediate crisis has passed.

If you’re able to give, any contribution can help someone take that next step forward.

At Ole Miss, we show up for each other. Stand with the students not just in the moment, but in the recovery that follows.
