Many thanks go to the 43 donors who have made gifts to help Ole Miss students work with the internationally renowned Malpaso Dance Company in Havana, Cuba. We are a third of the way to the goal of raising $10,000 to help students with the expenses of participating in this extraordinary opportunity. The Ignite Ole Miss campaign is being extended to Sept. 10 in order to give alumni and friends more time to contribute.
Here’s what Theatre Arts students are saying about this enriching experience:
“I’m most excited for the opportunity to unite two such different cultures in a dance vocabulary. Dance is a universal language that just so happens to be the most fluent language in my vocabulary. I am ecstatic for this chance to not only converse on this deep and expressive level but also to have such a conversation with this wonderful group of dancers whose lives are so different than my own, and who have so much information to offer us here at Ole Miss,” said Madeleine Bradley.
“I hope to learn more about letting go when I dance and just to live in the moment! That would help me grow so much as a dancer in general,” said Kendrick Wallace.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated! Please help now by encouraging others to make gifts in the coming days! Thank you!
