Help Pharmacy Graduate Students Launch Careers

Ann Fairly Barnett, who earned her M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in environmental toxicology, does fieldwork with oysters in 2019.

At the University of Mississippi’s School of Pharmacy, we champion our students’ academic achievements, but we know that our mission as educators is fulfilled beyond graduation – when students realize professional success.

That’s why we strive to enrich students’ future careers, provide opportunities for them to explore their research interests and encourage their development personally and professionally, while cultivating a diverse student community.

Over the years, our graduate programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences have provided those experiences and have prepared stellar pharmaceutical scientists who improve the health, well-being and quality of life of their communities.

Dr. Soumyajit Majumdar works with students in 2019.

However, to ensure the highest standards of professional development of our graduate students continue, we need your support.

This year the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted and challenged our graduate students, negatively impacting the advanced training opportunities usually available. They have persevered, and now you can help them achieve their dreams.

Your contribution to this campaign will help provide personal equipment, professional development, networking and additional advanced training opportunities for graduate students. Funds also will go toward our program’s outreach and recruitment efforts, with a focus on bringing in a collective group of curious minds into an energetic and inclusive environment.

Your gift will be put to work immediately and will make a lasting impact.

Dr. Soumyajit Majumdar, the School of Pharmacy’s associate dean for research and graduate programs, has pledged to match the first $2,500 raised for this campaign.

Your gift will provide critical assistance during these uncertain times. Together, we can support our graduate students’ dedication to innovation and excellence.

Thank you for your commitment to Ole Miss Pharmacy.
