Thank you for your generous support!
While this project has ended, you can still make a gift at https://umfoundation.com/ignite.
Dear Ole Miss Army ROTC Alumni and Friends,
Our 4th Annual Egg Bowl Run, in memory of Cadet Jay Cleveland, was a great success with 17 Ole Miss cadets participating in the 100-mile game ball run and finishing faster than ever. Moreover, Cadet Kendall Jenkins ran a total of 28 miles throughout the day—two miles farther than a marathon!
Though our cadets successfully crossed the finish line at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, our grassroots fundraising effort is continuing. We have only four more days to finish the race before our campaign clock runs out and we need your help.
Please join us in making a gift today to support your Ole Miss Army ROTC. 100% of your tax-deductible donation will be used to fund cadet scholarships and activities. Check out our giving levels for great incentives, such as a football or end-zone pylon signed by Coach Hugh Freeze and personalized videos from the Rebel battalion. They would make terrific holiday gifts for that Rebel fan on your list!
By contributing toward our $5,000 goal, you can help us win this race.
On behalf of the Ole Miss Army ROTC program and all of its supporters, we thank you for your contributions and wish you happy holidays.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Dotson

Dear Alumni and Friends,
On Nov. 1, 2016, University of Mississippi Army ROTC Cadet Jay Cleveland was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. His untimely death hit very close to home for the Ole Miss Army ROTC as Cadet Cleveland was a very engaged member and a close friend to many of us. This year we are dedicating the 2016 Egg Bowl Run to Jay in honor of his life and commitment to the Rebel Battalion.
We encourage you to join us in supporting this important cause. Your financial gift to our online campaign will sponsor cadets as they participate in this fundraising run and friendly competition between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. In the Egg Bowl Run, our cadets will carry the game ball the last 50 miles of its journey from Starkville.
With your generous support, the Ole Miss Army ROTC can prepare future Army leaders and also help soldiers in need. Your donation will provide scholarship opportunities for students who strive to be Army officers but do not have the financial means to do so.
On behalf of the Ole Miss Army ROTC program and all of its supporters, we thank you for your contributions and hope to see you cheering on our runners on Monday, Nov. 21!
Hotty Toddy and #UMEggBowlRun2016,
