The Student Veteran Association’s (SVA) My Ole Miss Wish program provides Ole Miss game-day experiences for children of military families who are fighting life threatening and chronic illnesses. Help us raise funds for the SVA so they can provide these kids with Ole Miss memories to last a lifetime!
Military families sacrifice so much while their loved one is away protecting our freedom. Time away from loved ones can be lonely and daunting. Something as simple as an Ole Miss game-day experience can provide a much-needed break to relax and have fun together as a family. And we all know how fun an Ole Miss SEC game-day can be!
Benjamin (in the video above) had a wonderful experience. His mom, Terri Clark, said she was thrilled to see her son, and the rest of her family, be treated so kindly and given gifts they will remember for a lifetime.
“Throughout Benjamin’s whole cancer journey, people are like, ‘I don’t know how you do what you do,’” she said. “But you just do what you have to do. We’re just dealing with the hand that we’ve been dealt. We don’t do anything extraordinary. And it’s really overwhelming and humbling to be given the blessing that Ole Miss gave us.”
