From Sunday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 13, we're celebrating our pride in Ole Miss by challenging one of our fiercest rivals.
Beat Week is a week-long giving challenge during which Ole Miss alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and fans rally to support our university and our students in a spirited battle with LSU and its supporters.
Here's how we win: From now until Oct. 13 at 11:59 p.m., we need our Rebels to step up and make a gift of any size to the Ole Miss Fund. Each donor who gives will be counted in the battle against LSU. At the end of the competition, the school who has attracted the most donors wins bragging rights for the year.
The best part is, there are no losers here. At the end of Beat Week, no matter the outcome, we will have raised critical resources to fund scholarships, facility and technology improvements, faculty support and exciting new initiatives. Our frenemies at LSU will do the same!
Our Rebels have the football part of Beat Week handled. For the rest, it's up to us!
Every gift of any size matters. Even $5 can help defeat LSU. Join the fight!
The yearly SEC contest between LSU and Ole Miss is called the Magnolia Bowl. Last year, Ole Miss won in Vaught-Hemingway stadium, 55 to 49.
Beat Week is a new tradition between our two powerhouse universities. What's better than beating LSU once? Beating them twice!
The best part of Beat Week: no matter the score, everyone wins. Raising resources and support for critical projects at our beloved Ole Miss is always a victory. We know LSU's supporters feel the same way.
The gridiron matchup between Ole Miss and LSU is one of the oldest rivalries in college sports. The first game was played back in 1894. Ole Miss won, 26 to 6.
In this contest, every contribution counts as one more gift in the fight against LSU. So it doesn't matter whether you give $5 or $5,000, every gift can help us win Beat Week. Your gifts have a life-changing impact on our students. The Ole Miss Fund addresses the university’s most pressing needs, improving campus facilities and technology, funding scholarships and providing support for faculty and exciting new initiatives. So, if you are able, please give generously!
